Your Adventure Begins Here.
Hello and welcome!
Thank you for stopping by!
This is the first step of your journey to celebrate the beautiful world we call home. This isn't just about taking pictures; it's about seeing Nature with fresh eyes, discovering hidden wonders, and capturing moments that make lasting impressions - all with just a cell phone or simple digital camera!
This educational site is designed to teach individuals of all walks how to embrace the natural beauty of the outdoors through the art of photography.
I hope it inspires you to get outside, be creative, and appreciate a deeper connection with the outdoors.!
The Art of Seeing:
• Focus on the Details:
~ Look for the little things;
~ Find patterns in tree bark or the veins on a leaf, or the texture of a cypress knee;
~ Get in close and see what you can discover!
• Hunt for Color:
~ Pick a color and spend your time outdoors looking for every shade of it you can find;
~ How many different shades of green can you find in the swamp?
• Play with Light and Reflections:
~ Take pictures in the early morning, late afternoon, sunset or dusk;
~ Notice how different lighting creates interesting shadows;
~ Take a photo facing away from the sun, then one facing the sun;
~ Look for reflections in puddles, bayous, or the surface of a pond or lake. Can you capture a tree or the sky in the water?
• Tell a Story:
~ Choose one subject, like a single flower or a bird, and take a few different photos of it. Try a close-up, a wide shot, or one from a different angle. What story does the photo tell?
